Open Hearth Cooking Workshop
Sunday, January 15, 2023 from 10am-2pm
$45 per person

Spend the day at Peachfield cooking colonial era recipes over the Open Hearth. Experienced historian and historic open hearth cook, Margaret Quinn, will lead participants through the preparation, cooking, and presentation of foods in the colonial era. Participants are asked to bring their own cutting board, knife, and apron for food preparation. Registration required.

Garden Planning Workshop & Seed Swap
February 25, 2023, 2:00pm – 4:00pm // $20 per person

In collaboration with the Master Gardeners of Burlington County, NSCDA-NJ staff and volunteers will host a garden planning presentation and seed swap at Peachfield. The presentation will share a brief history on Peachfield’s gardens in addition to tips and tricks for all levels of gardeners on how to design and care for their gardens, from acquiring seeds through maintaining gardens year-round. Weather permitting, Peachfield’s gardens will be open to visitors during this program. Participants are encouraged to bring their own seeds, if desired. Program fee includes a complimentary sketchbook, pencils, and swag bag of gardening goodies. Registration required by February 20th.

Open Hearth Demonstration
March 19, 2023, 2:00pm – 4:00pm // $20 per person

Spend the day with historic chef and open hearth cook, Margaret Quinn for an afternoon of exploring historic receipts and ways to prepare them over an open flame. Guests will sample the colonial cooking receipts throughout the demonstration. Registration required.
