FAQ

When is the activity schedule published?
As soon as all guests speakers and activity leaders are confirmed. Updates will be added here as soon as they’re available.

Where is Peachfield?
We are located at 180 Burrs Road in Westampton, NJ, next to the Burlington Country Club, right off Exit 5 on the NJ Turnpike.

Is this like a camp? Can I drop off my child(ren) at 9:00am and come back and pick them up at 3:00?
Yes, each Summer History Day functions like a single-day-camp for children ages 6-12. Children must be ages 6-12 prior to their registered program date.

Should I pack a lunch for my child(ren) for the day?
Yes, some other foods may be available for them to sample as part of the schedule of activities, such as fresh lemonade or open hearth cooking, but packing a lunch is still needed.

Does Peachfield have air conditioning?
Peachfield does not have air conditioning throughout the house, but one room, our indoor kitchen, is available as a cool-down space for children and staff throughout the day.

What if my child has allergies to food or materials being used?
On the day registration form, there is a place for you to include all allergies for the child(ren) you are registering. Precautions will be put in place to ensure your children does not interact with their allergen. Questions? Email Caroline Halfinger at director@peachfield.org.

Should I send my child to Summer History Day wearing sunscreen and mosquito repellent?
Absolutely, your child will experience nature, and nature will experience your child.

Will there be early drop-off or late-arrival childcare available?
We will not have early drop-off or late-arrival childcare available during the programs. For each Summer History Day, we encourage parents/guardians to drop-off their child(ren) at least 10 minutes before the start of the program and be onsite at least 5 minutes before the end of the day for pick-up, to respect the time of our staff and volunteers onsite during the week.

Can the program still occur during bad weather?
The program will occur rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather an email will be sent to parents and guardians notifying them of any change for daily programming, and activities will be conducted on first floor of the building.
