The Sensory Friendly (SF) Program at Peachfield, is a hands-on education program for visitors to
experience the historic site through their five senses: sight, sound, smell, touch and feeling. SF
programs feature four indoor activity stations in colder seasons, and seven indoor, and outdoor
activity stations in warmer months. Groups can schedule a private sensory friendly program
separate from pre-scheduled Sensory Friendly Saturdays, with two weeks notice.
This program is welcome to all ages and learning abilities.

The NSCDA-NJ will host a Sensory Friendly Program, at Peachfield, on the following dates:
Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 12:00-2:00pm
Saturday December 9, 2023 from 12:00-2:00pm
Visitors are invited to experience seven, interactive, self-guided, sensory-friendly activity stations in Peachfield’s Great Room and gardens (weather dependent). Stations will demonstrate Peachfield’s architectural and residential history using hands-on activities unique to the people and places that built the farm house, and maintain it today.
Accessibility & Parking
Peachfield has one ADA Accessible ramp and entrance, but does not have an ADA accessible restroom. There is one single-stall restroom on the first floor that is open to visitors. Only one of the three indoor spaces is ADA Accessible for individuals that require accommodations. Outdoor activities are accessible, and are held on grass as well as brick areas. Visitors are encouraged to plan accordingly.
Parking is free and available to all visitors. There is ADA Accessible parking in the rear of the building, that is across from a brick walkway and ramp leading into the Main Room of the building.
